Environment
Sustainability is at the core of our mission to reduce the carbon footprint in racing and create a positive environmental impact in Southern Nevada. We are committed to establishing a world-class event that showcases innovation and leaves a legacy of positive change.
The FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX has instilled environmentally conscious practices, including:
- Replacing single-use plastics with eco-friendly alternatives
- Recycling & minimizing waste throughout racing facilities
- Pursuing LEED Certification for the Pit Building
- Donating leftover food and beverages to local foodbanks
Water Conservation
In partnership with the Southern Nevada Water Authority, WaterStart and MGM Resorts International, the Las Vegas Grand Prix implemented a first-of-its-kind pilot program using an atmospheric water generator (“AWG”) to capture moisture from MGM cooling towers and convert it into drinkable water. In a single year, the AWG produces enough water to completely offset the consumptive water use at Grand Prix Plaza, making it a net-zero consumptive water use facility and returning thousands of gallons of clean water back into the local water supply.
With this innovative program, the Las Vegas Grand Prix is setting a new standard for water conservation and how large-scale sporting events operate throughout the world. Watch to Learn More

Submit A Charitable Request
Thank you for your interest in partnership opportunities with Las Vegas Grand Prix. Our community engagement program is centered around four key pillars – STEM Education, Sustainability, Support for At-Risk Youth, and Small Business Engagement.
We accept submissions for charitable requests between January and August each year. For consideration, your organization must be a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based, or with a chapter located, in Nevada.
From September – December, we focus on delivering incredible race week experiences. As such, we are unable to respond to requests during this time.
